Hi, I’m Katerina, a young adult living with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease (CMT). CMT is a neuromuscular disease that affects the peripheral nerves and leads to atrophy in the muscles.
Only receiving a diagnosis at the age of seventeen, I've had to adapt to the changes of living with constant pain and a physical disability. These changes have resulted in the everyday use of leg braces and occasionally a wheelchair.
Amidst all of these challenges of having CMT, I’m continuing to move forward in college, dance, and writing. In the last couple of years, God has been working through me to share my story and be a light to those suffering from pain, illness, and limitation.
